The Course
Hardin County Golf Course sits in the rugged hill country of far southern Illinois, just minutes from the Ohio River and the edge of Shawnee National Forest. This is not your typical flat Midwest layout — elevation changes, dense hardwoods, and narrow fairways make every hole a different challenge.
The course is a favorite of locals and a genuine surprise for visitors passing through on their way to Garden of the Gods or Cave In Rock State Park. Affordable, scenic, and about as far from a cookie-cutter course as you can get.
